CeCe Caldwell’s Paints began with the dream to find an earth and people friendly paint for furniture and home decor. The dream has come to reality with products that could safely be used by anyone: artisans, the do-it-yourselfer, parents with very little free time, people with respiratory or other illnesses, and those concerned about leaving the world a better place.
We offer you products that are safer and advantageous for the environment. Our mineral-based paint has no Volatile Organic Compounds, is non-toxic and has no chemical odor. The paint contains NO acrylic co-polymers, solvents, formaldehyde, ammonia, ethylene glycol, or toxic heavy metals. CeCe Caldwell’s Paints are compromised of clay, porcelain clay, and chalk blended into a water-based solution. Our wax is sourced from insect and plants. It does not contain petroleum wax or toluene. Paint and wax are packaged into containers made from recycled plastic and labeled with recycled paper.
The chalk and two types of clay are what give our paint the luscious dimension it has become famous for. The combination allows the no VOC colorants to be absorbed at different levels by the minerals. This produces subtle shading in the paint surface similar to that seen in woven raw silk fabric. This, in addition to the eco-friendliness of CeCe Caldwell’s Paints, is what differentiates our product from other paints for furniture.
Our products are easy enough for a first time DIYer and perform well enough for use by professional painters and furniture finishers. All you need to do is start with a clean surface. One to two coats of paint generally give complete coverage on most surfaces, and superior adhesion means most surfaces do not require a prep coat of primer or sanding prior to painting. The sealing wax glides on evenly and easily for speedy application. Clean up is fast—use warm soapy water to clean all tools and applicators.
Our color palette is based on the trends and traditions found in America. Inspiration comes from coastal regions, soaring mountain areas, great grain fields, spectacular deserts, big cities and rural towns.
CeCe Caldwell’s Paints has recently relocated to Arizona to accommodate its growth and increased production requirements. Having 100+ retailers in the United States and Canada, the growth of this company is reflective of the public’s desire for products that are eco-friendly and free from many of the hazardous chemicals found in other paints. Along with CeCe Caldwell’s Paints focus on people and earth friendly products, the company is committed to helping people in the communities it is sold in. From supporting an autism walk in New York to Project Hope teaching life skills to disadvantaged youth in Spokane WA, and workshops for children awaiting permanent families in Prescott AZ. In May CeCe Caldwell’s will be a part of a fundraiser for Chron’s disease support and research.
Stifel and Capra also takes community stewardship seriously and will donate part of our profits to Habitat for Humanity and Home Stretch, two charities that believe strongly, as we do, in a happy and beautiful home.
